1. Plant size

Size is the biggest lever by far. A 2.5m plant has spent years longer in the nursery than a 1.4m plant, in a pot four times the volume, and every one of those years costs money to grow. You are buying time.

2. Access

Easy side access with room for a trolley keeps install costs standard. Tight sites, stairs, or craning plants over a fence add labour, and we will always tell you before we quote, not after.

3. Soil and site prep

Most SEQ yards need only standard soil preparation, which our install price includes. Heavy clay, builder rubble under new turf, or old stumps in the line can add a little prep time.

Why cheap hedges cost more in the end

The most expensive hedge is the one you plant twice. Undersized seedlings from a big box store look cheap per plant, but after you add two years of waiting, watering and losses, the per-metre cost of a failed or patchy hedge overtakes advanced stock quickly.
